Minor among 12 Palestinians detained by Israeli forces

RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained at least 12 Palestinians, including a minor, across the occupied West Bank on predawn Tuesday.

Palestine Prisoner’s Society (PPS) said that Israeli forces detained two Palestinians in the southern West Bank district of Hebron. They were identified as Khatab Wahid Abu Maria, 16, and Yousef Ibrahim Awad, 25.

In the northern West Bank district of Salfit, one Palestinian was detained and identified as Jihad Nihad Abdullah.

In the northern West Bank district of Jenin, seven Palestinians were detained. PPS identified them as Ashraf Muhammad al-Qaisi, Khaled Mansour along with his son Abdullah, Najib Awni Huwayel, Yousef al-Shalabi, Nasser Hisham Abu Tabikh, and Muhammad Wadah al-Asmar.

In the northern West Bank district of Tulkarem, another two Palestinians were detained by Israeli forces. They were identified as Muaman Issam Marei and his brother Muhammad.

According to prisoners rights group Addameer, there are 5,450 Palestinian prisoners being held in Israeli prisons, including 215 minors, 43 of whom under 16 years old.
