In video - Israeli settlers seize Palestinian homes in Hebron

HEBRON (Ma'an) -- Israeli settlers broke into two Palestinian houses in Hebron City in the southern occupied West Bank, on Monday afternoon.

The Hebron Rehabilitation Committee identified the two houses as belonging to the Arafa, al-Hmous, Zahdeh and al-Sharabati families, pointing out that the houses were not inhabited.

The committee added that the houses are located near the Abraham Avinu settlement outpost in the Old City of Hebron.

Head of the committee, Imad Hamdan, told Ma'an that "at the time when the Israeli authorities prevent Palestinians from maintaining their cultural and humanitarian heritage by restoring it, their settlers raid and close buildings through iron bridges and steps that Israel claims were built for military purposes while they were built to facilitate settlers' reaching Palestinian homes and close their entrances in preparation to confiscate them."

The Old City of Hebron is under full military control by Israel imposing restrictions on the movement of Palestinians living there.
