RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Five Palestinians were injured by Israeli forces during clashes that erupted at the northern entrance of al-Bireh City and in the eastern side of the city in the central occupied West Bank district of Ramallah and al-Bireh, on Friday evening.

One Palestinian youth was injured with a live bullet in his leg during clashes with Israeli forces in eastern al-Bireh, while a minor sustained bruises and fractures after being assaulted by Israeli soldiers as he stood in front of his house near the site of clashes.

During clashes, Palestinian youths threw rocks at Israeli soldiers who fired live ammunition, rubber-coated steel bullets and tear-gas bombs.

Israeli soldiers chased youths inside al-Bireh City in an attempt to detain them, however, were not able to.

At the northern entrance of al-Bireh, three Palestinian youths sustained injuries with rubber-coated steel bullets fired by Israeli soldiers.
