Sept. 20, 2018 12:18 P.M. (Updated: Sept. 20, 2018 3:56 P.M.)
JERUSALEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained an Al-Aqsa Mosque guard on Thursday morning as he was heading to his work at the compound in the Old City of occupied East Jerusalem.

Sources told Ma'an that Israeli forces detained an Al-Aqsa Mosque guard, who was identified as Hamza al-Nabali, while walking towards the Hatta Gate to reach the mosque.

Sources added that al-Nabali was taken to an Israeli police station in the Old City for interrogation.

On Wednesday, Israeli forces banned head of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound's female guards, Zeinat Abu Sbeih, from entering the compound and handed her a summon notice to show up for interrogation at the Israeli police station in the Old City of Jerusalem on Thursday morning.
