Israeli forces detain 21 Palestinians in West Bank raids

RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained at least 21 Palestinians during predawn raids on Thursday across the occupied West Bank.

According to Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS), Israeli forces detained two Palestinians from the southern West Bank district of Hebron; they were identified as Ahmad Muhammad al-Hroub and Ismail Hussein al-Hroub.

In the southern West Bank district of Bethlehem, five Palestinians were detained; they were identified as Khalid Muhammad al-Zir, Youssef Muhammad al-Zir, Khalid Muhammad Taqatqa, Sanad Majd Taqatqa and Sharif Muhammad Sbeih.

In the central West Bank district of Ramallah, two Palestinians were detained and identified as Murad Karim al-Barghouthi and Khabab Muad al-Rimawi.

In the central West Bank district of Jericho, PPS confirmed that two Palestinians were detained; they were identified as Salah Muhammad Musleh Betanja and Imad al-Karim Abu Zeineh.

In the northern West Bank district of Qalqiliya, four Palestinians were detained; they were identified as Amir Abu Sharb, Ahmad Shalash, 26, Hussam Abu Labda, 35, and former prisoner, Samer Helmi al-Barq, 42, who was imprisoned for eight years.

In the northern West Bank district of Tulkarem, Israeli forces detained three Palestinians. PPS identified them as Muhammad Aqel Jaber, Muhammad Walid Ndeiq and Muhammad Adnan Jaber.

In the northern West Bank district of Salfit, another two Palestinians were detained; they were identified as Hussam Anis Hard and Muhammad Aziz Marei.

PPS confirmed that from the northern West bank district of Tubas, one Palestinian was detained and identified as Wissam Majid Sawafta.

According to Palestinian prisoners rights group Addameer, as of July, there are 5,820 Palestinian prisoners being held in Israeli prisons.
