10 members of Tamimi family, teen who was shot in the face, detained overnight

BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained at least 19 Palestinians during pre dawn raid on Monday, including injured teenager Muhammad Tamimi, 15, who was shot in the face by Israeli soldiers during anti-Trump protests in his village of Nabi Saleh in December.

The Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) said in a statement that Israeli forces detained 10 members of the Tamimi family from the central occupied West Bank villages of Deir Nitham and Nabi Saleh.

According to PPS, wounded teen Muhammad Fadel al-Tamimi, 15, and his brother Tamim Fadel al-Tamimi, 17, were detained, in addition to Suhaib Samih al-Tamimi, 14, Ahmad Sami al-Tamimi, 19, Muayyad Hamzeh al-Tamimi, 17, Muhammad Mujahed al-Tamimi, 15, Amjad Abd al-Hafith al-Tamimi, 28, Omar Saleh Tamimi, 29, Islam Saleh al-Tamimi, 21, and Wiam Iyad al-Tamimi, 17.

Muhammad Fadel al-Tamimi was released hours after his detention, with his family adding that he has a reconstructive skull surgery scheduled for March 5. The teen had been shot in the face during protests in Nabi Saleh. Minutes after he was shot, his famous cousin Ahed Tamimi, 17, was filmed kicking and slapping Israeli soldiers who were on her family's property. Ahed is now being prosecuted behind closed doors in an Israeli military court that has a conviction rate of over 99 percent.

Meanwhile, two Palestinians were detained from Ramallah city, while five were detained from the northern West Bank district of Nablus.

Locals from Nablus identified the detainees as Amid Imad Banat, from the Askar refugee camp, Omar Samara from Nablus City, Assem Hassan Assideh, Zaid Ahmad al-Banna Assideh and Mahmoud Abed al-Karim Ramadan from Tel in western Nablus.

In the southern West Bank district of Hebron, PPS said that Israeli forces detained two Palestinians. One of the detainees was identified to Ma’an as Mutasem al-Natsheh from Hebron city.
