GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Israeli soldiers on Tuesday shot and injured a Palestinian with live fire along the border with the southern Gaza Strip.

Spokesperson of the Gaza Ministry of Health Ashraf al-Qidra said that a Palestinian sustained a moderate injury in the leg upon being shot by Israeli forces, allegedly during protests.

The identity of the injured Palestinian remained unknown.

Several protesters had reportedly arrived to border, in the eastern area of Khan Younis, to protest before Israeli soldiers opened live fire and tear gas.
