Israeli forces shower Palestinian village with 'cloud of tear gas' during raid

RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Eleven Palestinians were reportedly injured with rubber-coated steel bullets on Thursday during clashes with Israeli forces that erupted in the al-Mughayyar village in eastern Ramallah, in the central occupied West Bank .

While the exact reason for the Israeli raid on the village remained unclear, locals told Ma’an that Israeli forces raided the village early Thursday “randomly firing tear gas at houses and schools.

In addition to those injured with rubber-coated steel bullets, dozens of others reportedly suffered from severe tear gas inhalation, after Israeli forces “showered the village in a huge cloud of gas,” according to locals.

An Israeli army spokesperson told Ma’an they were looking into reports.
