Two Palestinians detained after crossing Gaza border fence into Israel

Oct. 19, 2017 12:01 P.M. (Updated: Oct. 19, 2017 4:33 P.M.)
BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained two Palestinians after they were caught crossing the border fence into Israel from the southern Gaza Strip.

Israeli news website Ynet reported that the two Palestinians were searched and not found to be carrying weapons. They were then taken in for questioning by security forces.

An Israeli army spokesperson said they were looking into reports.

Israeli forces regularly detain Palestinians attempting to cross into Israel from the besieged Gaza Strip, which has suffered under a decade-long military blokade by Israel and Egypt.
