5 Palestinians killed in accident between Palestinian vehicle, Israeli truck in Jenin

JENIN (Ma'an) -- Five Palestinians were killed and two were injured in a car accident between an Israeli truck and a Palestinian commercial vehicle on Wednesday west of the village of Tura in the northern occupied West Bank district of Jenin.

Israeli police said that Palestinian workers were inside of the commercial vehicle. The police added that those who were injured sustained moderate to light wounds.

The Palestinian Red Crescent told Ma’an that the Israeli authorities had informed them that the Palestinians who were killed were all from the Jenin district in the West Bank.

Israeli Magen David Adom ambulances had rushed to the area to transfer the injured to hospitals for treatment.

Head of the Red Crescent ambulance department in Jenin Mahmoud al-Saadi identified those killed as Khalid Youssef Qabha from Umm Dar village, Mahmoud Rafiq al-Wadi and Ahmad Hamed Hamarsheh from Yaabad town, Muayyah Tawfiq Kamel Amarneh from Thahr al-Abed village and Muhammad Salim Muhammad al-Shalabi from Silat al-Harithiya.
