BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained five Palestinians in the Nablus and Bethlehem regions of the West Bank early Sunday.
Sources at the Nablus office of the Palestinian Prisoner's Society told Ma'an that Israeli forces stormed Balata refugee camp east of Nablus and detained Mahmoud Shteii and Rami Murshid.
The sources added that Israeli troops stopped a vehicle at a flying checkpoint on the main road in Nablus to Wadi al-Bathan and detained its driver after inspecting the vehicle. The man had not yet been identified.
In Bethlehem, Israeli soldiers detained 25-year-old Wajih Abd al-Fattah Awwad after ransacking his family's home in the city.
Separately, Israeli forces stormed Beit Fajjar town south of Bethlehem and detained 25-year-old Musab Muhammad Jarad Thawabtah from his home.
An Israeli military spokeswoman did not immediately return calls seeking comment.
