RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Clashes broke out Friday evening between Palestinians and Israeli troops at al-Jalazun refugee camp north of Ramallah in the central West Bank.
Locals told Ma'an that ten Palestinians were injured during the clashes including four hit with live fire, three hit with steel case ammunition and three others were hit by rubber-coated steel bullets. Many others suffered from excessive tear gas inhalation.
Witnesses said two Israeli soldiers were hurt during the clashes which continued until the dawn hours.
They said that Palestinian demonstrators showered the Israeli soldiers with fireworks and molotov cocktails.
The Israeli troops fired large numbers of tear gas canisters both at the protestors and at Palestinian homes in the camp.
Since Israeli forces started a military offensive against the Gaza Strip more than 10 days ago, West Bank cities, villages and refugee camps have been witnessing demonstrations and clashes with Israeli forces every evening in protest against the attacks on the coastal enclave.
