RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Four Palestinians were injured early Thursday, including one critically, in clashes with Israeli forces in the Jerusalem town of Anata, medics said.
Medical sources told Ma'an that a young man was in a critical condition in hospital after being shot in the head by Israeli forces during clashes in the town overnight.
Three other men suffered minor injuries.
Clashes started in the town, which is east of Shufat, late Wednesday and continued into the morning, with youths throwing stones and empty bottles at Israeli soldiers.
An Israeli army spokeswoman said around 40 Palestinians hurled rocks and a Molotov cocktail at Israeli soldiers, who responded with rubber-coated steel bullets and identified several hits.
No live fire was used, she added.
The demonstrations were in response to the kidnapping and killing of 16-year-old Muhammad Abu Khdeir overnight Tuesday.
