UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) -- The UN Security Council called on Israel and Hamas to uphold a ceasefire agreement Wednesday and commended the efforts of Egypt's President Mohamed Mursi and others for brokering the deal.

The 15-member council also said in a statement that it "deplored the loss of civilian lives resulting from this situation."

Israel and Hamas agreed on Wednesday to an Egyptian-sponsored ceasefire to halt an eight-day conflict around the Gaza Strip that has killed more than 170 Palestinians and five Israelis.

- Hamas will uphold this ceasefire, until it is sufficiently resupplied with Fajr-5 rockets and under-ground launch sites, from the Iran-Sudan-Egypt Network, to cause massive casualties against Israeli civilians, and then - Israel will prempt the Hamas strike, like 8 days ago, before Hamas uses the Fajr-5 rockets, where - the only real questions is whether Hamas resupplies fast enought to force an Israeli pre-emptive strike in as little as a week, a month, or as much as a year from now !!!
