GAZA CITY (Ma’an) – Israeli authorities on Monday closed the Kerem Shalom commercial crossing between Israel and the Gaza Strip.
Raed Fattouh, a Gaza official in charge of goods entering the coastal enclave, told Ma’an that he was told by the Israelis that Kerem Shalom crossing would be closed for security reasons.
Fattouh highlighted that 80 truckloads of basic goods entered the Gaza Strip via Kerem Shalom Sunday including six truckloads of medicines the Palestinian Authority’s ministry of health in Ramallah sent to Gaza. Further, limited amounts of domestic-use gas were allowed Sunday.
