Children, woman among 19 Palestinians detained by Israeli forces

RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained at least 19 Palestinians, including two children and a woman, during predawn raids across the occupied West Bank, on Thursday.

According to Palestine Prisoner’s Society (PPS), Israeli forces detained one Palestinian attorney in the southern West Bank district of Hebron. He was identified as Adi Khaled Ghuneimat.

In the southern West Bank district of Bethlehem, five Palestinians were detained. They were identified as Ziyad al-Husanat, Abed Badir, Malek Zaboun, Louay Zaboun, and Hamza Sarasra.

In the central West Bank district of Jerusalem, PPS said that six Palestinians were detained. They were identified as Qusai Abed Alyan, Yousef Darwish, Muhammad Khaled Abu al-Hummus, Yazid Darwish, Ahmad Haitham, and Muhammad Walid.

In the northern West Bank district of Qalqiliya, one Palestinian was detained and identified as Kathem Radwan.

In the northern West Bank district of Tulkarem, two Palestinians were detained. PPS confirmed that Israeli forces raided the home of Areej Hamad and detained her. The other detainee was identified as Maazuz Ahmad Amarneh.

In the northern West Bank district of Jenin, two Palestinians children were detained by Israeli forces. They were identified as Mahmoud Muayed al-Saadi and Abed al-Raouf al-Natour.

In the northern West Bank district of Nablus, PPS said another two were detained. They were identified as Mustafa Hajeh and Maan Nour al-Din al-Shaer.

According to prisoners rights group Addameer, there are 5,450 Palestinian prisoners being held in Israeli prisons, including 48 female prisoners, and 205 minors, 32 of whom under 16 years old.
