Israeli forces suppress student march in al-Bireh

March 20, 2019 2:22 P.M. (Updated: March 21, 2019 11:16 A.M.)
RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces suppressed a student march at the northern entrance of al-Bireh City in the central occupied West Bank, on Wednesday, using tear-gas bombs and stun grenades.

A student march, called for by the Birzeit University Students’ Council, had set off in rejection of Israeli forces’ killing of three Palestinians, one in Ramallah and two in Nablus.

Local sources confirmed that 14 Palestinians were injured with rubber-coated steel bullets fired by Israeli forces. Their medical condition remained unknown.

Sources said that Israeli forces suppressed the march as it reached the northern entrance of al-Bireh; journalists covering the march were hit with tear-gas canisters by Israeli forces.
