15-year-old Palestinian succumbs to wounds in Gaza

GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- A 15-year-old Palestinian succumbed to wounds, on Thursday, that he had sustained after he was shot by Israeli forces a day before in the besieged Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed that Saif al-Din Abu Zayd, 15, was shot in the head by Israeli forces during protests along the eastern borders of northern Gaza.

Meanwhile, Israeli warplanes carried out airstrikes on predawn Thursday, targeting Hamas sites across Gaza. No injuries were reported.

Additionally, the Israeli army issued a statement saying that a rocket was fired from Gaza towards southern Israel. The rocket landed in an open field.

No injuries nor damages were reported.
