JENIN (Ma'an) -- An Israeli military court extended the detention of a Palestinian student, on Tuesday, for the second time in a row.

Lawyer of the Palestinian Prisoners and Former Prisoners’ Affairs Committee, Nassim Abu Ghush, said that the court agreed to a request by the Israeli intelligence to extend the detention of Muhammad Ali Samudi, 21, for 12 more days in order to continue interrogation with him while at the Petah Tikva detention center.

Israeli forces had detained Samudi two weeks ago, from his family home in Jenin; Samudi is the son of journalist Ali Samudi and is a student at the Arab American University in Jenin.
