Ma'an signs agreement with China Media Group

BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Ma'an Media Network signed a cooperation and strategic partnership agreement with China Media Group at the network’s headquarters in the central occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, aiming to exchange media, culture and history between the two countries.

The agreement was signed in the presence of Sun Lingli, Director of China Media Group in Jerusalem, Chairman of Ma'an’s Board Salim Sweidan, the General Manager of Ma’an Network Engineer Raed Othman, Mohammed Faraj, Director of Al-Ma'an TV, and head of the Ma’an’s offices in Ramallah Mahran Youssef.

During the meeting, Lingli stressed on the depth of the Chinese-Palestinian relationships, saying that China seeks to convey the Chinese culture through Palestinian media, especially Ma’an, adding that the cultural and documentary works to be presented on Ma’an TV will allow the Palestinian public to learn more about China, as a country, people and civilization.

On the other hand, Swaidan said that it is very important to know about the different cultures of the country, including China, a country rich in civilization and ancient legends, adding that Ma'an Network is happy with this partnership with the Chinese radio.

Moreover, Othman stressed on the importance of media exchange between the two countries, in order to get to know more about China through the various works which will be translated into Arabic, therefore, allowing all Palestinians to learn more about the countries and their civilization, pointing out that there will also an exchange of Palestinian works on Chinese satellite channels.
