Madura reiterates Venezuela’s support for Palestinians

Jan. 12, 2019 12:16 P.M. (Updated: Jan. 13, 2019 2:44 P.M.)
CARACAS (Ma'an) -- The Venezuelan President Nicolas Madura met with the Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Malki, on Saturday, and reiterated his country’s support for the Palestinian struggle for freedom and independence.

With the start of Madura’s second term in office, he condemned anti-Palestinian and anti-Venezuelan measures by the United States Administration, describing them as “inhumane and a violation of international law.”

Al-Malki congratulated Madura on behalf of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas for his re-election and wished him success in serving the Venezuelan people.

Al-Malki added that the Venezuelan people have “always stood by the Palestinian people in their struggle for self-determination and to establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.”
