Israel withdraws VIP card from PA Attorney General

Nov. 22, 2018 10:57 A.M. (Updated: Nov. 22, 2018 3:05 P.M.)
JERUSALEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli authorities have withdrawn a VIP card from the Palestinian Authority's (PA) Attorney General, Ahmad Barak, on Wednesday.

According to Hebrew-language news outlets, the decision to withdraw Barak’s VIP card comes after a Palestinian resident of East Jerusalem, carrying the Israeli blue identity card, was detained for selling land to Israeli settlers.

Sources added that the VIP card provides senior officials in the PA, including Palestinian security services, to travel without difficulties across Israel.
