Pompeo: 'Saudis acknowledged Khashoggi's murder as premeditated'

Nov. 5, 2018 11:35 A.M. (Updated: Nov. 7, 2018 2:44 P.M.)
BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- The US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo spoke to Fox news, on Sunday, and stressed that the United States “will hold all of those responsible for the murder of Jamal Khashoggi accountable.”

Pompeo’s statement came after he was asked if the Saudi crown prince, Mohammad Bin Salman, lied about Khashoggi’s death and if he now believes the incident was premeditated by the Saudi royal family against Khashoggi.

Pompeo responded that the US will hold all of those responsible for the murder of Saudi journalist, Jamal Khashoggi, accountable.

He added, “The Saudis have acknowledged that this was a premeditated attack.”

Almost two weeks ago, US President Donald Trump, condemned Khashoggi's murder and said “the cover-up was one of the worst in the history of cover-ups,” referring to the Saudi government's story repeatedly changing as international pressure increases.
