Israeli police shoot, injure 3 Palestinian youths

JERUSALEM (Ma'an) -- Three Palestinian youths were injured, predawn Saturday, as the Israeli police opened fire at a vehicle in the Jit village in the Haifa district in the Triangle area of Israel, on Saturday.

The Israeli police reported that its forces opened fire at a vehicle that allegedly attempted to run over an Israeli policeman during an activity in Jit.

The Watad family from Jit denied reports by the Israeli police that the shooting came following a vehicular attack attempt.

The family confirmed that the three youths were injured with light to moderate wounds.
