Israeli forces hold 5 Palestinian students at Hebron checkpoint

HEBRON (Ma'an) -- Five Palestinian students were held, on Tuesday, at an Israeli military checkpoint near the Ibrahimi Mosque in the Old City of Hebron, in the southern occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian Ministry of Civil Affairs confirmed that it was forced to intervene, to secure the release of the five Palestinian students, who were held at the Abu al-Rish military checkpoint near the Ibrahimi mosque in Hebron's Old City.

The ministry confirmed that three female students were among the five, however, no reason was given as to why they were being held.

The identity of the five students remained unknown.
