Israeli bulldozers raze lands in southern Gaza

Sept. 14, 2018 11:51 A.M. (Updated: Sept. 14, 2018 2:58 P.M.)
GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Several Israeli military vehicles entered into the "buffer zone" alongside the southern besieged Gaza Strip border, on Friday morning.

A Ma'an reporter said five Israeli bulldozers raided into eastern al-Qarrara town, in northeastern Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.

Sources added that Israeli bulldozers then razed and leveled lands in the area.

Israeli military incursions inside the besieged Gaza Strip and near the "buffer zone," which lies on both land and sea sides of Gaza, have long been a near-daily occurrence.

Such activity often interferes with Palestinian farmers whose land lies in the area. Approximately 35 percent of Palestinian agricultural land in Gaza is inaccessible without high personal risk, according to the Palestinian Center for Human Rights.
