JERUSALEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces re-detained a a Palestinian former prisoner upon his release from Israeli prisons, on Thursday.

Spokesperson of the Fatah movement in the Shufat refugee camp in the central West Bank district of Jerusalem, Thaer Fasfous, said that Israeli forces "kidnapped" former prisoner Laith al-Husseini, 19, upon his release from the Israeli Rimon prison's gate.

Fasfous added that al-Husseini was transferred to an unknown location afterwards.

Al-Husseini has just ended his three year sentence.

Fasfous pointed out that Israeli forces also raided the Shufat refugee camp, hometown of al-Husseini, surrounded a stadium (court) that was prepared for residents to welcome al-Husseini and confiscated flags, signs and speakers set up in preparation for the welcoming.
