Palestinian woman released from Israeli prison

BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli authorities released on Thursday a 21-year-old Palestinian, Yasmine Abed al-Rahman Abu Srour, after seven months of imprisonment is an Israeli prison.

Abu Srour was detained on January 17, 2018 from the Aida refugee camp in the southern occupied West Bank city of Bethlehem.

Following three months of being held in Israeli custody and attending continuous trials, Abu Srour was charged with "incitement" and sentenced to four months in prison.

In addition, Abu Srour was previously imprisoned for three months and was released at the end of 2015.

According to prisoners rights group Addameer, there are currently 5,900 Palestinian prisoners being held in Israeli prisons, 60 of whom are female prisoners.
