Israeli forces detain 12 Palestinians, including two sisters, in occupied West Bank

RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained at least 12 Palestinians, including two sisters, from areas across the occupied West Bank on Tuesday, the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) reported.

In the eastern Jerusalem town of al-Eizariya, PPS confirmed the detention of two sisters identified as Nour Afalqa, 20, and Ghada Afalqa, 42.

Israeli forces detained another Palestinian,Tarek Sameh al-Khatib, in the Beit Rima village in the Ramallah and al-Bireh central West Bank district

In the northern West Bank district of Nablus, Israeli forces detained seven Palestinians, PPS identified them as Subhi Jawabra, Mahran Hani Abu Ziadeh, Omar Farouq Amer, Muhammad Ghassan Abu Huwaila, Said Majdalawi, in addition to Faraj Mustafa Abu Leil and Muhammad Nasser Abu Huwaila; both were detained after being wounded by Israeli forces.

Two Palestinians were detained in the northern West Bank districts or Tulkarem and Jenin; they were identified as Anan Muhsen Jaber, 24, and Hamza Inad Abu Jabal.

According to Palestinian prisoners rights group Addameer, there are 6,036 Palestinians prisoners being currently held in Israeli prisons, 63 of them are female prisoners.
