HEBRON (Ma'an) -- A Palestinian man was killed on Monday morning after a forklift he was driving flipped over in Hebron city’s central fruit and vegetable market in the southern occupied West Bank.

Palestinian police said in a statement that 21-year-old Hamza Ali Abu Awwad sustained serious wounds after his forklift flipped over and was evacuated to al-Mezan hospital in Hebron city, where he was declared dead upon arrival.

The statement added that police and the general prosecution were investigating the incident as procedures to return the Awwad’s body to his family for burial were ongoing.
