BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- A fire caught on at the Israel national insurance headquarters in the neighborhood of Wadi Joz in occupied East Jerusalem on Wednesday night, with the cause of the fire remaining unknown according to Israeli police.

A video shared by Shehab news agency showed tall flames as sirens could be heard in the background, although it was unclear whether the flames were only on land adjacent to the building or if the building itself had caught on fire.

Israeli police spokeswoman Luba al-Samri said in a statement that several trees near the building had caught fire, adding that firefighters had extinguished the flames.

While Palestinian local news outlets were reporting that the fire was started by a Molotov cocktail, al-Samri said that Israeli police was investigating the circumstances without immediately ruling out any possible angle.
