BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) -- Israeli police on Tuesday detained three Palestinians, all residents of the occupied West Bank district of Qalqiliya, in the central Israeli city of Kfar Saba, after a brief foot chase, according to Israeli police spokeswoman Luba al-Samri.

Al-Samri said in a statement that “during police activity in Kfar Saba, Israeli police forces signaled a suspicious commercial vehicle carrying a motorcycle, apparently stolen, to stop for a check.”

After the driver of the vehicle allegedly ignored the police orders and kept driving, Israeli police fired “warning shots,” leading the driver to stop the vehicle, with no injuries resulting from the live fire, according to al-Samri.

According to al-Samri, after the vehicle stopped, three Palestinians got out of the car and attempted to flee the scene on foot. Al-Samri said the three were detained and transferred for interrogation.
