HEBRON (Ma’an) -- A Palestinian man was injured when his vehicle flipped over after being chased by Israeli forces near the town of Surif in the southern occupied West Bank district of Hebron.

Palestinian security sources told Ma’an that the man was evacuated by a Palestinian Red Crescent ambulance to Hebron's al-Ahli hospital, where he was treated for minor to moderate injuries, including bruises on different parts of his body.

The sources said that an Israeli military vehicle aggressively pursued the man's vehicle, causing the driver to lose control of the car, which then flipped over. They said that there was also another Palestinian in the car, but it remained unclear whether the the driver or the passenger was hospitalized, or if the second person was left unscathed.

Israeli forces also prevented the Palestinian ambulance from accessing the scene to treat the injured Palestinian for some time, according to the sources.

An Israeli army spokesperson told Ma'an they were looking into the case.
