Palestinian killed, 4 injured in Nablus-area local dispute

BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) -- A Palestinian was killed and four others were injured in a local dispute on Wednesday night in the village of Deir Sharaf in the northern occupied West Bank district of Nablus.

Palestinian police spokesman Luay Irzeiqat said that Ziyad Hassan Antari, 34, was severely wounded in the chest and head in a local dispute between two families in Deir Sharaf, with doctors declaring him dead only minutes after he arrived at the hospital.

Irzeiqat added that four other people were treated at the hospital with light and moderate injuries.

He said that Palestinian police and security forces rushed to the village to defuse the fight, and detained people suspected of having been involved in Antari’s death.
