BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli authorities detained a Lebanese citizen who crossed the border into Israel on Friday, according to Israeli Ynet news website.

Ynet reported that the Lebanese national was spotted by Israelis at the central bus station in Kiryat Shmona -- which is located about 10 kilometers from the Lebanese-Israeli border -- who then called the police.

The Lebanese national was reportedly transferred to Israeli security forces for questioning.

A spokesperson for Israel’s security agency was not immediately available for comment.
