Palestinian detained after alleged attempted stabbing in Qalqiliya district

BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) -- A Palestinian man was detained by Israeli forces on Sunday afternoon after allegedly attempting to carry out a stabbing attack in the northern occupied West Bank.

An Israeli army spokesperson told Ma’an that a Palestinian holding a screwdriver approached a military post near the illegal Israeli settlement of Zuffin in the Qalqiliya district.

“After forces called on the suspect to halt, he surrendered into custody,” the spokesperson added, saying that no shots were fired and no individuals were injured in the incident.
