BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) -- Israeli forces on Friday leveled 12 dunams (approximately 2.9 acres) of privately owned Palestinian land in the Artas village southeast of Bethlehem in the southern occupied West Bank.

Local sources told Ma’an that Israeli bulldozers leveled 12 dunams of lands owned by Ahmad Abu Srour, Riyad Issa, Muhammad Abu Laban, Omar al-Afandi, Jamal Zghari, Bassam al-Farahin, Hasan Shahin, Mustafa al-Afandi and Hussein Hamash.

COGAT, the Israeli agency responsible for implementing the Israeli government’s policies in the occupied territory, was reportedly not involved in the activity in Bethlehem. Meanwhile, an Israeli army spokesperson told Ma'an she would look into army reports on the incident.
