Abbas to embark on Middle East, Europe tour to 'strengthen support for Palestinian cause'

RAMALLAH (Ma’an) -- Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’ spokesperson Nabil Abu Rudeineh released a statement on Friday saying that Abbas will embark on a tour across the Middle East and Europe “to strengthen support for Palestine’s national cause.” 

Abu Rudeineh said the tour will start with a visit to Qatar, where Abbas will meet with the Prince of Qatar to discuss bilateral relations, support of the Palestinian cause, Palestinian national reconciliation and the Arab Summit, which is set to be held in Jordan at the end of March. 

Abu Rudeineh added that Abbas will also visit Germany and Belgium, noting that the the tour will end in Jordan by the end of March to attend the summit, where Abbas “will confirm the Palestinian cause as a top priority for Arabs.”
