Palestinian woman dies, 3 others injured in house fire in East Jerusalem

Feb. 10, 2017 11:54 A.M. (Updated: Feb. 10, 2017 4:39 P.M.)
BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- A Palestinian woman died and three others were injured on Friday morning after a fire broke out in the courtyard of her home in the Beit Hanina neighborhood of occupied East Jerusalem.

Witnesses told Ma'an that Israeli firefighters and rescue services pulled the woman out of the burning house and tried to resuscitate her to no avail. She was pronounced dead on the scene.

Three other residents of the house were treated for minor burns and smoke inhalation.

An Israeli police spokesperson confirmed the reports to Ma’an, saying it was a local house fire with no criminal suspicions.
