RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- An Israeli court sentenced a Palestinian citizen of Israel from the Israeli city of Tira to 26 months of imprisonment on Tuesday.

A lawyer from the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society, Ruslam Mahajneh, said in a statement that the court sentenced Firad Zahran Sultan, 24, to 26 months in prison and imposed a 4,500 shekel ($1,194) fine.

Israeli authorities had detained Sultan on Oct. 10, 2015 for allegedly making and throwing Molotov cocktails.
