Israeli security guard lightly injured by car at West Bank checkpoint

BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) -- An Israeli security guard was injured by a vehicle at a checkpoint in the central occupied West Bank district of Ramallah on Thursday afternoon, Israeli police said.

Israeli police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld told Ma’an that a vehicle tried to go through the Beituniya checkpoint without stopping and lightly injured a security guard, adding that the driver was stopped by Israeli forces.

Rosenfeld added that the circumstances of the incident were “unclear,” and that Israeli police were investigating the situation.
