Jan. 7, 2017 10:34 P.M. (Updated: Jan. 7, 2017 10:34 P.M.)
JERUSALEM (Ma'an) -- Palestinian police uncovered a drug manufacturing lab Saturday in the town of Abu Dis in the Jerusalem district of the occupied West Bank.

Police spokesman Luay Irzeiqat told Ma'an that after Palestinian police received a tip about a lab producing ecstasy tablets, officers raided the suspected apartment after they obtained a warrant from the general prosecution.

According to Irzeiqat, police found large amounts of chemicals and a pressing machine used for making pills, including ecstasy and other drugs.

The house owner was arrested and he confessed during interrogation that he had been manufacturing the pills, the spokesperson added.
