GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Conjoined twins were born in Gaza City's al-Shifa Medical Center on Tuesday for the first time in several years.

Dr. Ayman al-Sahbani, head of the emergency and media department at al-Shifa, told Ma’an that the twins were born at 11 am on Tuesday, adding that they are female and consist of two heads, two hearts, two lungs, two spines and two hands and legs, but only one chest and one stomach.

Al-Sahbani pointed out that this is a very rare condition, adding that the family refuses to publish names and pictures of the twin.
