TULKAREM (Ma’an) -- Israeli forces on Tuesday morning detained four Palestinians in the northern occupied West Bank district of Tulkarem, according to the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS).

The director of the PPS' Tulkarem office, Ibrahim Nimr, identified the detainees as Yousif Hilmi Khalil, 36, from the town of Attil, Fadi Jarrar from Tulkarem city, Nasrallah Yasser Ofi, 24, and Basim Ahmad Ofi, 33, from Tulkarem refugee camp.

Nimr said the four Palestinians were detained near the northern village of al-Jarushiya at a gate on Israel’s separation wall.

An Israeli army spokesperson told Ma’an they were looking into reports. It remained unclear whether the workers were detained for attempting to cross the separation wall.
