JERUSALEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli police on Thursday extended the detention of a Palestinian teen from the neighborhood of Jabal al-Mukabbir in occupied East Jerusalem.

The detention of Muhammad Arafat Ubeidat, 16, was extended until Friday, when the minor will appear before a court, local sources told Ma’an.

Ubeidat’s family told Ma’an Israeli forces raided and searched their house on Thursday and confiscated some of the 16-year-old’s clothes.

Details on the reasons for his detention remain unclear.
