Woman found dead in well near Hebron

April 25, 2016 10:07 P.M. (Updated: April 25, 2016 10:07 P.M.)
HEBRON (Ma'an) -- A young Palestinian woman was found dead in a well in the southern occupied West Bank, Palestinian police said on Monday.

Police spokesman Luay Irzeikat told Ma'an that a 26-year old woman was found in a well in the al-Jalada area in Hebron.

The body was found after the woman, who worked in a workshop in the city, failed to come home at 4 p.m. as she usually did, the spokesman said. Her family went looking for her and found her in a well near their house, he added.

Her body was recovered and taken to Hebron governmental hospital, where it will undergo an autopsy, Irzeikat said, adding that Palestinian police forces were investigating the case.

On Saturday, the body of a 40-year-old man was found dead in a water well on the outskirts of the occupied West Bank city of Hebron.
