Man found dead in water well near Hebron

HEBRON (Ma’an) -- Palestinian police on Saturday launched an investigation into the death of a 40-year-old man from Yatta south of Hebron who was found dead in a water well in the outskirts of the occupied West Bank city.

Police spokesman Luay Irzeikat told Ma’an that Ahmad Mahmoud Daajnah had left home in the morning to his agricultural fields, but was later found by concerned family members in the well after he failed to return home at his normal hour.

Daajnah's body was taken to Abu al-Hasan al-Qasim hospital in Hebron for examination, the spokesperson said.
