BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- A 10-year-old Palestinian girl was left injured when she was hit by a car allegedly driven by an Israeli settler east of the occupied West Bank city of Hebron on Wednesday.

Locals told Ma’an the girl, Duaa Diab Jaber, was taken to hospital with several fractures across her body after she was hit by the car, which fled the scene afterward.

Local reports that the driver was an Israeli settler could not immediately be confirmed.

An Israeli army spokesperson told Ma'an they were looking into the reports.
