JERUSALEM (Ma'an) -- An Israeli bus reportedly caught fire after Molotov cocktails were thrown at it in the Ras al-Amud area of Silwan in occupied East Jerusalem on Thursday night, witnesses said.

Witnesses told Ma'an that the bus was carrying Israeli passengers and security guards at the time, who exited unharmed.

The witnesses added that Israeli police forces surrounded the area following the incident and interrogated people on scene and searched cars.

Israeli police spokesperson Micky Rosenfeld said he had no information on the incident.
