Palestinian child shot, seriously wounded in Ramallah clashes

Dec. 8, 2015 3:05 P.M. (Updated: Dec. 8, 2015 7:17 P.M.)
RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces on Tuesday shot and seriously wounded a 10-year-old Palestinian boy during clashes in al-Jalazun refugee camp north of Ramallah, medics said.

Medics said the child was shot in the stomach and evacuated to the Palestine Medical Complex, where he was in serious but stable condition.

Israeli forces reportedly fired live and rubber-coated steel rounds at protesters during the clashes.

The occupied Palestinian territory has seen a wave of unrest since the beginning of October, with Palestinians taking part in almost daily demonstrations.

Israel's severe crackdown on the popular protests has left more than 10,000 Palestinians injured.
